When I was navigating my own diagnosis, I quickly learned that while traditional medical care was often covered, many of the holistic and functional therapies that supported my healing were not. The cost of care added up fast- reaching into the tens of thousands of dollars.

To help offset those expenses, I started Bunker Brew, a mobile craft coffee trailer. What began as a way to support my own healing journey grew into something much bigger. As I connected with other women - especially fellow veterans - I realized how many were facing the same financial, emotional, and informational gaps in care.

Soar Above was created from that realization. This nonprofit represents the next step: turning personal survival into purpose, and creating a space where veteran women feel supported, informed, and empowered through every stage of healing.
